When teeth are removed and are not replaced, the bone on that area tends to reduce its size due to lack of stimulation.  Patients that encounter this problem will experience some of the following traits:

• Sinking Lips
• Collapsed Facial profile
• Unaesthetic zone for future prosthetics

In order to avoid these complications, we now have the opportunity to surgically place sterile bone into the area.  This graft stimulates the bone forming cells to rebuild bone around the area treated, therefore rebuilding the needed structure what was once lost.  This now provides a perfect area for an implant to be placed.
